David Gere Professor ( UCLA), Director of the Art & Global Health Center

The importance of making dances that are not just pretty, but that MEAN something. Positive Lives was a such a beautiful and tender piece. While preparing publicity photographs for that piece, the dancers took a long swath of red fabric and flung it up in the air. Photographer Ranjit Sinha caught a gorgeous image of that red cloth floating in air into the shape of the AIDS ribbon. Ultimately, that ribbon became the insignia of Make Art/Stop AIDS, the network we all formed together. I am so grateful for the work of Sapphire and celebrate all that is yet to come.

Pandit Bickram Ghosh, Musician

Sapphire is one of the few dance companies which thrives on creativity. Constant improvisation, exploration and introspection have made Sapphire one of the leading dance groups today in the arena of dance. I wish them all the best !

Koushik Sen, Actor & Director( Swapnasandhani)

Association with Sudarshan and Sapphire has not only enriched my theatre group but has also provoked and inspired me as a director/actor in so many ways. The dancers of Sapphire in their own way can create a magic on stage from which the entire theatre community can get motivated.
